Carolix spans over 12,200 hectares, nestled between 2,000 and 2,500 meters above sea level, and is located just 70 km northwest of Calama, a key mining city. This prime positioning close to vital infrastructure and mining hubs enhances the project’s logistical and operational efficiency.
Robust Resource Report
Our commitment to excellence is demonstrated through a comprehensive exploration campaign, including 10,125 meters of diamond drilling across 35 holes in 2013 and the acquisition of 46 mining property concessions. These efforts have unveiled an in-depth primary copper porphyry with over 150 million tonnes of potential resources at an impressive grade of 1.2% copper.
Geological Advantage
Carolix is advantageously situated over a mineral-rich Paleocene-Eocene structure extending from southern Peru into Chile. This geological setting is synonymous with some of the region’s most prolific mines, including Toquepala and Cerro Verde in Peru, as well as Mocha and Cerro Colorado in Chile, underscoring the area’s significant mining pedigree.
Advanced Development & Infrastructure
The current owners have invested substantially in both high-quality informational gathering and infrastructure development to ensure project readiness. This includes comprehensive sampling, LOZA GPR Electromagnetics, spectral satellite imaging, geophysics, and diamond drilling, all compliant with the international norm NI 43-101. Additionally, over 60 kilometers of quality access and internal roads have been constructed to support mining trucks, equipment, and internal transport services. With a mining camp, leaching pads, and all necessary permits already in place, Carolix is well-positioned for rapid development and operation.
